A passion-led career:
For most of my career, I have been in roles driven by my passions, although at times I drifted off course I always learned from these experiences, and they provide me with some unique capabilities and perspectives.
At an early age, my hobbies and passions transitioned into paid work. At nine, while living in Spain, I spent weekends working with horses at the stables. By 11, I was assisting at a veterinary clinic, and soon after, I traveled alone to Sweden to work with a zoo vet during the summer. At 12 and 13, I taught sailing, canoeing, and windsurfing in Scotland, and at 18, I spent a year working on yachts in the USA and Caribbean. My entrepreneurial spirit emerged early, leading me to launch several businesses while at university and later join a dotcom in 2000. This drive continued, culminating in the launch of a media business in Spain in 2006.

10 Years of personal development:
Over the past 10 years, I have invested thousands of hours into personal development, boosting self-awareness, emotional intelligence. Learning peer facilitation skills with “The Mankind Project” (MKP), a charity that aims to save the world one man at a time. I deepened my self-awareness through “Celebration of Being” (CoB) where facilitation by some incredible women led to powerful insights about myself and my limiting beliefs. I am a regular participant and leader in men's work circles within MKP and CoB. Working with my peers in these circles has given me a deep respect for individual growth journeys; I appreciate that everyone is unique, and each person’s journey is their own.
My sense of identity was transformed through workshops run by the National Coalition Building Institute, which evolved the way I perceive and interact with others. I began to value my own unique identity and, as a result, stopped using myself as a “focus group of one,” understanding that everyone’s life experiences are different. This shift has made space for greater compassion, curiosity, and connection by limiting the barriers caused by my judgments of others.
During these years of growth, I gradually stopped drinking alcohol, I was getting more comfortable with myself, and was happier connecting with others without being under the influence. The downside seems to be that I struggled to get things done. To support myself, I developed a powerful framework of journaling, meditation, and exercise which helped me to get back on track. Recently, I was diagnosed with ADHD, and it has been transformative, not only for self-compassion but also for the treatments available. It has been suggested that I have other neurodiversities as well, but those are yet to be formally assessed (in the meantime please forgive any typos!).
Inspired by my personal development journey, I became an NBHWC accredited health coach. This National Board recognised accreditation in health coaching provides a robust framework and protocols within which I leverage my life experiences to create personalised coaching programs for clients. As a professional coach, my mission is to help others to connect with themselves and to build their lives from the inside out.
Coaching inspired leadership, consultancy & voluntary work
My coaching skills now underpin my leadership style as I intentionally support the development of my teams. Similarly, as a consultant, I recognise that my clients have more knowledge and information about their business and industry than I ever could, so my role is to help them develop creative or reveal hidden solutions by using a coaching-informed methodology.
Personal development is not just a professional endeavour, it is a true passion. I continue to volunteer to support men with MKP and CoB and run programs that bring personal development to underserved youth with The Brixton Surf Club.
